vinyl mastering We accept the following record formats for mastering vinyl: cd-recordable, DAT (digital audio tape), analog tape ¼-inch studio standard, MiniDisc and analog MC. Please specify the split between side A and B and the required turntable speed (33 rpm or 45 rpm). Vinyl discs can be produced in three different sizes at two different turntable speeds. According to that there is a maximum duration for each kind of vinyl disc: maximum duration for one side in minutes:
black vinyl or coloured vinyl? Because of the best audio characteristics (noise, crackle, possible cutoff frequency etc.) black vinyl is normally used for duplication. Coloured vinyl is manufactured by using clear vinyl with colour additives. This leads to eye catching results for the disc. But keed in mind, that you have to accept some more noise and crackle.
First offset printed labels in size of the record are adhered on a special carrier material. Then this inner material of the record is coated with clear vinyl and finally the record grooves are printed into the disc.
