authoring of DVD's The capacity of a dvd (digital versatile disc) is that enormous, so the dvd is now the most accepted format for projects where huge memory is needed, e.g. digital video and ROM projects. Bringing together content like high resolution video data, coded surround audio data, subtitles, menues and navigation is called authoring. You can also use the the dvd-rom standard for lexicons or cyclopeadia projects where a normal cd-capacity is not sufficient. At the end of the authoring process we create a dvd-recordable or a DLT (digital linear tape) containing all the necessary data for printing the dvd.
duplication of DVD's The dvd can be produced in different sizes depending on the amount of layers each side and wether it is single sided or double sided:
